Scott D. Turkiewicz, an eleven year veteran of stunts, is pictured
above prior to the second attempt of his triple steel wall crash. The previous night, Turkiewicz successfully
performed the stunt using the same vehicle pictured.
Turkiewicz, a.k.a., the “Demolition Devil,” started his career in a friend’s backyard.
After practicing multiple high-speed car crashes, the “Demolition Devil” performed an American Cancer Society
fund raiser called “Jump 4 Life”. The event raised over $1,100 for the society, and also saw
the “Demolition Devil’s” very first ramp jump through a wall of fire.
That show escalated Turkiewicz to a
shot at the Crandon International Off-road Raceway (CIORRA). During his performance, the “Demolition
Devil” wowed the crowd with several barrel rolls and another amazing ramp jump through a wall of fire using an old Ford
F-150. To this day, Turkiewicz holds the record at CIORRA for the highest and longest jump, an impressive
30 foot height and a 146 foot distance. Turkiewicz has continued his career, making a name for himself at such tracks as the WIR in Kaukauna, 141
Speedway, and Powercom Park . He has had the opportunity to perform with several monster
trucks including Goldberg (Maximun Destrucion), Grave Digger, Destroyer, Iron Outlaw, and Black Stallion.
During one of his performances at a local demolition derby, he opened the show with a successful triple steel wall
crash. He also ended the day’s events with a 75-foot pond jump.
Such stunts as these led Turkiewicz on a brief stint with the former "Joie Chitwood Show." He toured
the entire east coast alongside such greats as Tony Petersen and Bill Dominic.
In November of 2006, Turkiewicz was also invited to perform in the "Monster Truck Spectacular" held in Montreal,
Quebec Canada. The lineup included such drivers as Jimmy Creten of "Bounty Hunter," Jim Kohler of "Avenger,"
and legendary monster truck driver Dan Runte of "Bigfoot." This performance has led to his return each year
to the lineup. The “Demolition Devil” continues to amaze crowds, both coast to coast, and internationally.
Whether he is rolling, jumping, or smashing, Turkiewicz is happy to do whatever it takes to please the crowd.
After all, it’s just another day at the office.
"I love entertaining people by crashing cars," says the Demolition Devil. "I can't sing or dance, and
I love racing and professional wrestling-I thought this was a good in-between."
